Secondary Glazing

Secondary glazing involves fitting slim-line windows to your existing window frames, with the aim of improving acoustic insulation and thermal efficiency, whilst helping with condensation and security.  It is normally used on traditional timber frames, that are susceptible to letting in cold air and draughts.

The fact that you do not have to pay for new frames to be supplied and fitted, or face the costs of redecoration, makes it a cost effective alternative to double glazing, meaning it is a great option for those on a tight budget.

Secondary glazing is also a popular choice for those that live in listed buildings or within a conservation area, where UPVC double glazing is not an option.
